    Sperto,

Thanks so much for this Link! On the pictures I could identify a Rafaela, which is famous for the Brasilians. I have red all your reports with great interests. Very good quality from you, in information and writing. You are a real Brasil Expert. I hope, one day to visit other cities, like Porto Velho and Macapa also. Brasil do norte e muito interessante. Best Regards!

    Remulos

Pfff... pfff... blowing of the dust in the Manaus section. One of the best cities in Brazil for sex holidays. So underestimated in this forum. That's OK, that means more bunda for me.

Remulos added some new girls on their website. Obrigadão, senhor Lobo.

Enjoy the photos of Banda do Remulos:

I read every single report written by the members of the board. Besides the mention of boat trips, and air, any other way to get to Manaus? I know it is deep in the Amazon, but I would like to find all options to ge there. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

    1. Air. The quickest and sometimes the cheapest way to get there.
    2. Boat. From Belém it will take you almost a week.
    3. Bus. Depending on your departure city it will take you a long time.
    4. Swimming. Martin Strel swam the Amazon river in 66 days. That was downrivers. Uprivers it will take longer time.

No railroad and you will not rent a car to go to Manaus.

I'm not sure what information you need? Air, boat or bus. Are there more options?

    Go there by air.

    Thank you ;-)

Even though I like the swimming option through snake and piranha infected waters, I believe that flying would be my best option. For a moment I thought it was possible to take a truly scenic tour of the Amazon basin, but it is inherently hazardous if not prepared for the worst. Thanks.

You could take a boat from Belém to Manaus, but I doubt that you would find the trip very scenic. The Amazon river is so wide, up to 11 km wide, that you will not get any exciting experiences.

If you would like to experience scenic tours you'll find lots of agencies in Manaus offering tours in the Amazon. They will all offer jungle lodge, piranha-fishing, alligator spotting, ecological parque, jungle walk etc. IMO what 99% of these agencies offer are totally crap. So absolutely worthless that you shouldn't even bother to go on them. If you want to see impressing wildlife you should go to Pantanal.

For me the main attractions of Manaus are the nightlife and Remulos.

    Site seeing near Manaus

I absolutely agree with Sperto that most of the ecolodges are crap, but my girlfriend in Manaus is always taking trips to the "campo". Its fairly easy, and inexpensive to use the public boats/buses from Manaus to see visit the countryside, see wildlife, etc. But, you need someone to show you where to go.

I also agree that Manaus has more than its fair share of great hookers, and that Remulos, as seedy as it is on first appearances, is great fun. unlike the rest of Manaus, Remulos is not expensive!!!

Many of the girls in Remulos are actually from the campo, and hence can solve the problem of finding a guide to take you into the jungle and some one to pleasure you while you are there at the same time! I picked up a real doll a few trips ago, and she took me to some great areas a few hours by boat from the encontros das aguas. We hired the boat privately with a friend and his girl. Fantastic!

I strongly recommend Choupana (http://www.restaurantechoupana.com.br/welcome.html) in Adrianopolis as the best place to eat fish in Manaus. Have the costelas de tambaqui for a real Amazonian fish treat. These are fish ribs with a meat like texture and are ONLY found in the Amazon. Also highly recommended are the patinhas do caranguejo (little crab feet). This restaurant is amazing.

The only thing that Manaus lacks, at least for me up to this point, is a place to get some quick sex during the daylight hours. If anyone knows of such a place, please share this with us!!

That's right, going with a GF to visit her home in "the jungle" is a nice experience. I had a GF (one out of two twin sisters) who lived a couple of hours away from Manaus going with a speed boat.

A small river and a village made out of a dozen of bungalows. Daytime we went fishing with bow and arrow, in the late afternoon playing football with the villagers, in the evening eating fresh fish and drinking cold beer and at nighttime having sex in a room filled of fascinating insects.

    Manaus or not

    Hello
I am about to book my sexvacation for next year to Brazil.
I am thinking about to go back to Maceio (i loved the fuck-clubs there)
    or maybe Manaus.
Since daytime action is a must for me, i only travel to places where this is possible.
By the way, what are you other mongers doing in the daytime ?
I love to have my first pussy for the day before noon, and then 1-2 more in the afternoon, then in the eavning i am tired !

I have seen in the forum that there are some bars with girls close to the port, i guess some of them have nice chichas aswell.

My question is , does Manaus have enough daytime options for me ?

    Thanks

Your daytime action in Manaus will be:
    1. Non-pro's.
    2. Dating girls you've met in the evening before.
    3. Free-lancers in some outside bars in centro.
    4. GP's down in the real lowclass bars behind the bus-station in Centro. The majority of the girls are not doable.

Don't expect any overwhelming daytime action.

If you have other interests than p***y there are plenty of things to do daytime in Manaus. If not, pass the day at Shopping Amazonas and head to Remulos around 7 PM.

    Daytime Action Manaus

In Manaus it is easy to date non-pros and pros. For daytime action I recommend to enter one of the chat rooms of Uol Manaus (bate papo cidades Amazonas Manaus). Many girls would like to train their English there and accept also dates (cinema, beach, shopping). To my experience, every second date will result in a lay down.
In the chat rooms are also advertising pros (with nicks such as garotaprograma or gata$$$).

The quality of pros in the city center and port area is low, many drug users. There are some sex houses, for example in Rua Bacuri 275 (every taxi driver can bring you there), 24 hours, action 60R$ per hour, nice and good looking girls. If you like FAT (no pro) women, you can find them in the bar Jangadeiro, opposite the Restaurante Mitoso. Last one has in the afternoon also many pros, but not really recommended (tricky, drug users etc.). So be careful!

    The girls in Remulos page

    Hi Sperto

Just to clarify, are the girls on theie web page also available or just some other girls hanging in the club. Can you have those strip girls as take a way and for what price.
I'm going to be there in business with some colleagues and need to be carefull not to be seen....

Would be best if I could just call to some escort service and ask a girl into my room. Any escort service in Manaus?

    * OTHER STRIP-CLUBS
Just about the same as reported one year ago. No major changes.

    * REGULAR CLUBS
So many options. My two favourites this year:
    - Arrastão do Forró: Fridays, forró, very large place. Excellent for picking up regular girls. It's located on Estrada da Ponta Negra. Taxi or bus 120 from Centro.
    - Companhia do Forró: Saturdays, forró, even larger place. A heaven for meeting regular girls. It's located in Cidade Nova. Taxi or bus 300/60 from centro.

    * The girls on the Remulos site are available and many others as well.
    * I think very few of the top-girls at VM are interested in a take away. You better try arranging a meeting daytime. If you want to take a girl away from Remulos you better take one of the free-lancers hanging there. You recognize them by they are wearing normal clothes and not "dancing-outfits".
    * Sure there must be escort services in Manaus, but nothing that I know about.
    * Another option is asking one of the hotel staff, or a taxi-driver outside your hotel, if they can bring you a nice lady.

    Remulos

Pelicano mentioned (in Other Areas) that Remulos was closed down.

No worries! Remulos get closed down every now and then for a couple of days. It's all about politics and bribes.

The club was closed on the 17:th. PF and PM closed the club. 200 visitors were searched and the boss was arrested.

Anyway, according to the Remulos website the club reopened at the 19:th of September. The police didn't find any guns, drugs or minors.

BTW, I just noticed that Remulos are announcing a guest stripper called Marianne Aguiar, 7-18 of October. She's just unbelievable gostosa!

    Sperto,

Do you know if these speical guests strippers will be available like the other girls in the clubs. Are they only special dancers or are they available for sex in the rooms upstairs as well. Seems remulos is growing, although the site's been there since beginning of this year and still no memberships to offer.

I doubt very much that these guest strippers are available for a quickie upstairs. At least not a centerfold-girl like Marianne Aguiar.

I don't think Remulos is growing. It's the same as usual, just a fancier website.

Arrived here in Manaus on Sunday at noon and the taxi from the airport in to town cost 50 Reais, took over 1 hour, due to the midday traffic rush hour. I have been sweating away from the heat and humidity and suffering from the effects of the yellow fever vaccine which i took last sunday in Sao Paulo and has put me out of action for a couple of days. The humidity and the heat is intense and after walking a couple of blocks one becomes totaly drenched in sweat. It took me the best part of 2 days to locate the office of ANVISA, where the certificate is now issued and get the international Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate. I also had a bad case of the tropical runs, which made me have to take cipro and rehidrate myself by drinking 6 liters of water per day with BabyHidrax.

The 2 supermakets on Eduardo Ribeiro avenue are very crowded, with huge check out lines, which take over 1 hour to get thru and the selection is very limited. Best to bring with you all your needs. Yesterday found a great little family restaurant on Rua Dez de Julho #495, besides the Amazon Theater, with several kinds of fish prepared in various maners, accompanied with rice and excellent prices from 8-25 Reais. It is called Arte com Peixe and it was the first solid food i had this week. So far so good. Runing sewage in the downtown streets is common and sanitation is precarious in general, so avoid any food item from street vendors and juices not in sealed sterile containers.

Today, friday it is raining in the morning and the heat is much less and I feel better and will go to Remulos for the first time tonight. There are a couple of venues on the same street as Remulos that open earlier, but I haven´t tried any yet. Daytime action is rather sparse, I have a phone number of La Passiom agency to call for the daytime, but they want 150 reais for 1 hour incall, too expensive even if it were in Rio.

On wednesday, after feeling a little better, at 4 PM, I went to a casa frequented by the sailors near the port, On Rua Marques de Tamandare´. The Holanda bar is located on this street, it was full of drunken sailors and about 1 pot bellied pig type(short, fat in the middle and pig ugly face) garota for every 10 of them, so I passed on by up the road a bit and came to a apparently less crowded casa, which has no sign or number up front, it has green painted front and you go up a short stairway to enter the place.

This turned out to be a total rip off, worst session in 45 years of mongering. The room cost 7 reais with a quite decent electric shower, soap and towel, with clean sheet. The garota was a smal 5 footer, slightly indigenous complexion, which looked ok and seemed pleasant enough, I thought it was a great chance to dive in, as she was the only one available i didn´t bargain very hard as i was interessted in trying the local flavor. Big mistake!

She asks for 30 reais, which seemed fair enough, well once in the room and after i had showered and was ready to go she says; payment up front, First red flag and since I did not have change, she kept the 50 reais i gave her and did not return any change, claimed she would work it off. Second red flag went up, then it got worse as she started to lay down the rules, no kissing, bitting or hair pulling or making hickeys on her, I said well; I can live with that. Then the shocker; as she refused to take her bra off, which was also a first for me in 45 years. So in desperation, I tried to make the best of a bad situation and managed to bang her hard for about 20 minutes, before sucumbing to the heat and humidity, despite the ac being on at full blast. I just went to the shower and she left the room. Great learning experience and one best avoided in the future if at all possible. So that is about it for now and I have until Monday to make the best of it. Thankfully I´ll be back in Rio on the 20th!

I'm looking forward to your Remulos report. If you're in the mood you should also check out on of the forró clubs. Companhia do Forró on Saturdays is excellent.

The two other strip clubs on the Remulos street is a waste of time IMO.

BTW, if you don't want to waste R$ 50 on a taxi to the airport you can take the bus going to the airport. It pass on Av Getúlio Vargas. The bus stop at the airport is about 100 metres away from the entrance.

P.S I envy you who will go to Remulos tonight. Have fun.

    Manaus Rocks

Been to Remulos once. The place is interesting to see, but the girls are not very good looking, so better avoid. And why pay for pussy, when you can get it for free in so many places in Manaus.

Here are two stories from my trip. I went to Ladeira on a Thursday. I arrived there quite late, it was almost 1:00 a.m. and the place was packed. 10 minutes after I got in, two girls approached me asking if I want to pose for a photo with them. They were sisters, one 17 and the other 19 years of age (that's what they said). Both quite good looking, say 7/10. So we took the pics and then went dancing a bit. After dancing with both of them for a while, I got off with the older one. Half an hour later, I was in a taxi with the sisters, heading to their casa in a part of Manaus called Cidade Nova. The girls were home alone as their mum was away visiting some family in the interior and the papa is a rolling stone.

The place where they live is a bit like a favela, but the house was nice and tidy. When we arrived, I went upstairs with the older sister and the younger one went to sleep in the living room downstairs. Not lucky enough to get a threesome unfortunately. Anyway, I stayed there all night and around 10 in the morning I returned to my hotel in the centre of Manaus by taxi. The older sister came to the centre with me as she had to go to work. She works as a secretary in the offices of some political party. I spent 60 reais for taxies, but considering the distances, that was not too bad.

Then I went to a club called Bragaca (or similar) on a Friday night. That place is close to Ponta Negra. It used to be called Bora Bora, but they changed the name recently. After hanging out for a while, I met a nice girl who was there with a group of friends celebrating a birthday. I was dancing with her for some time and had some fun with the whole group. They could speak some English and my Portuguese is not too bad so we were able to communicate. I spent about 2-3 hour swith them, managed to get a few kissess from teh girl, but she did not want to go home with me. She said she has to stay with her friends, but gave me her mobile phone number and told me to call her tommorow. Tommorrow I called her and we arranged to meet in my hotel. She picked me up by car in the evening, we went to some club called Legioes 300 (or something like that), spent an hour ther and then back to my room for an all-nighter. She stayed at my place until noon the next day. This Sunday was my last day in Manaus, so I arraanged to meet up with her again that evening. She came to my room again. This time we did not go out until the morning when I had to leave for the airport. She gave me a lift to the airport in the morning. The girl is 22 and a student of social work at the University of teh Amazon.

I had more fune in my two weeks in Manaus and I am going back there for the New Year. I never had to P4P directly. I did pay for some drinks, etc. but in the end I even saved 50 Reais as I got the free ride to the Airport.

    In conclusion, Amazonas is Amazing!.

    Here is a few tips:

There are many places to go out, but you have to know where to go as most places are open only one night a week.

    The schedule is:

Wednesday: A Sida Forro (or something like that)
    Thursday: Ladeira do Forro
    Friday: Bragaca (ex Bora Bora)
Saturday: Cia do Forro, Legiones 300
    Sunday: Xote da Manina, Croccodillo

    Shopping

    @ Pelicano,

Why don't you go shopping at Carefour on the main shopping avanue in the Centro (can't remember the name of the avenue). There you can find anything you need - it is the same as supermarkets here in England. And you don't have to wait that long.

I went to Carefour and the line there was even longer, it must have been because it was the end of the month, but at both places the lines were very long. Interesting that at DB supermarket across the street, when one check out girl would stop checking out customenrs, waiting for a manager or something like that, all the other checkout girls would also fold their arms and quit checking out their customers as well.

My final Manaus report did not show up as the internet cafe i was using was censoring my access to the board and I kept loosing the site just as I was ready to post. On Friday it rained and the internet at another place on Getulio vargas Av. kept going up and down most of the day.

    Remulos

My week in Manaus did not go very well, first I picked up a non performer at the street near the docks, where the Nova Holanda bar is located. After the first couple of days there, I managed to contract a bad case of amazonian revenge and was out of action most of the week on antibiotics and re hidrating myself. The hotel room at www.hoteldezdejulho.com.br cost of 60 reais per day, had excellent split unit AC.

I made an extra effort to make it to Remulos on Friday night, the last weekend in the month, probably on a payday and not the best time of the month to go there. I was not prepared for what i was to see there, it reminded me of a honky tonk bar in the US. The layout is sort of like a large indoors garrage with a runway with 3 poles in the center, a small wooden and steel balcony near the entrance, a stairwell with an exit sign, where one goes up to the rooms, a bar off to each side. Tables are strewn about, without any sort of order or chairs to match, so you must arive early in order to find a seat, or just sit on one of the tables as many were doing.

There must have been about 400 guys in there mostly drinking beer and hooting and holering at the strippers, I even saw a few of them giving the stripers money as they did their show, I thought, I must be in the wrong country! There were about 20 or so house garotas, which could be easily identified by the fact theat they were not wearing much clothing and one was actualy stroling around stark naked. They were there mostly to incentivate the customers to drink more beer in between one show and the next and for the short time I was there, did not see any of them going upstairs with anyone, perhaps later in the evening they might have been available.

The strip show was a little disturbing, as they would parade up and down the runway as if they were a model and all of a sudden spread eagle and throw themselves at the stage with a large thud and the crowd loved it. One striped from her waist down yet still had a jacket with a hood covering her top half at the end of her set, probably she was a good girl? Another rather overweight one, tried to do the jaguar crawl, which looked more like the fat capivara waddle, the crowd also loved it. In all a very different experience for a 7 real entrance fee and 3 real skoll cans.

There were from 50 to 80 other garotas, who I presume were there to work and were rather well dressed by local standards. There was an enormous variation in looks, all the way from terribly ugly to many stunners among them, including many loiras. They stroled about saying Hi to friends and former customers, if they were approached, even by a potential customer, they did not flinch to turn them down. Those who were successful in taking one upstairs appeared to be former customers or very persistent guys, who scored after about 10 frustrated attempts. Most sessions seemed to last from 15-20 minutes as business was probably brisk and the locals could probably not afford to pay for more time. I did not enquire prices nor feel up to try and negotiate with any particular GP.

After a couple of hours of this, I decided to cut my losses and head back to the hotel, going straight to Av. Eduardo Ribeiro and turned right after the Theater, avoiding the side streets as much as possible as I had identified a few unsavory characters hanging out in these side streets. I supose this is the way it is in Manaus as the GP´s have a terrible advantage, since good looking GP´s are few in numbers, and paying customers even fewer. Maybe this is just one of those places where it is bad for pros and excellent for non pros. Give me Rio any day, but I will probably give it a go again someday and be much more carefull of what I eat or drink while there and concentrate on non pros instead.

[QUOTE=Mysterynasty]Been to Remulos once. The place is interesting to see, but the girls are not very good looking, so better avoid. And why pay for pussy, when you can get it for free in so many places in Manaus.

Sounds like you discovered the way to go in Manaus. Great report and probably a guide for anyones future trip there. Too bad I couldn´t make it to the forrós, since I knew they would probably be a +10 experience.

If somebody wants to see the "not very good looking" Remulos girls check out.

They are the lovely angels of the Amazon.

It must be against the law to tell other forum members to avoid Remulos when going to Manaus. Like, "If you go Paris avoid going to see the Eiffel Tower.

    Remulos, some comments.

It's good that we all have different tastes and liking. That's something to be respected.

Manaus is one of my absolute favourite cities in Brazil. Mainly because of the non-pro action. It's VERY easy to score.

Regarding the GP-scene there are lots fo options. My favourite is Remulos. I love Remulos! To me it's the perfect strip club. All of my buddies have felt the same way when they visited Remulos. Because of this I find it interesting to read about other forum members negative experiences of Remulos. They don't like it? That's perfectly fine with me.

Pelicano, you gave a nice report. I just want to make some comments about your Remulos report. Not as criticism. Just to avoid misunderstandings for others who might want to visit Remulos.

    * "400 guys": No way. On a crowded Friday there might be maximum 100-150 guys.
    * "20 or so house garotas": Double that.
    * "They were there mostly to incentivate the customers to drink more beer": I never experienced that.
    * "did not see any of them going upstairs with anyone": The locals go upstairs for a longer session or take a short session (R$ 15/during 2 songs). Short sessions rooms are located close to the entrance. You must have missed that.
    * "The strip show was a little disturbing": I can't see any disturbance with beautiful women dancing naked. They perform very well.
    * "There were from 50 to 80 other garotas, who I presume were there to work": Yes, you assumed right. All women at Remulos are there for working.
    * "very persistent guys, who scored after about 10 frustrated attempts": I think the term is buying sex. It doesn't need any attempts. You agree on a price and that's all.
    * "Most sessions seemed to last from 15-20 minutes as business was probably brisk and the locals could probably not afford to pay for more time": It they go upstairs they have like 40-90 minutes depending on the girl. Short time rooms are during 2 songs, about nine minutes.
    * "good looking GP´s are few in numbers":
    * "is bad for pros": Wrong.
    * "Give me Rio any day": I think Rio suites you better.

I've RTFF, at least 10-15 pages deep. I thank all for the info posted. I have a sense of what's going on down there, even though I haven't been in Brasil in years. I'm completely in the dark on which areas to stay in, and which to avoid. I do have a sense of the monger, pick-up scene.

My question relates to lodging. I've only seen the Taj Mahal Continental and Hotel 10 de Julho mentioned. Both seem to fit, I'm not sure which is the better option, still looking for any other options. I'm looking for the following:

    - Guest-friendly (no extra charges if double occpy booked)
    - 24 hour security on site
    - $30-50/nite range
    - Safe/secured area within walking distance to stuff (ATM/grocery store/restaurants)
    - Hot water
    - A/C
    - Decent bed
    - Daily cleaning staff

Shouldn't be much to ask for, but figured I'd put it to the board for help. Google doesn't really help. Thanks in advance.

Stay in centro. Close to the Teatro Amazonas, and not too close to the port. There are many options. Not that I stay in the Taj Mahal Continental but the location is good.

    Thanks for the quick response.

Would you recommend the Plaza Hotel or Hotel 10 de Julho? If not, would you be so kind as to provide some names of other hotel options in that general price range? As stated, I've RTFF and Googled. Not too much info available under a general Manaus hotel search, even though there may be many options.

Or, can you point me in the direction (maybe a Brasil hotel locator site) of finding those other centro lodging options?
